18 June 2012

As most of you know, we had to suspend our voyage on the "Great Loop" on our Trawler, Freya, due to Maryann having back surgery. Freya is berthed at Lamb's Yacht Center, Jacksonville, Florida.  She survived tropical storm Beryl that made landfall in Jacksonville with 73 knot winds and 3 ft of water over the docks.  We were fortunate that the boat was there for some repairs. We cannot praise this marina enough!

We have decided to leave the boat at Lamb's until next spring when we will continue our Loop adventure. We had planned to take a land cruise in our RV and do a loop in the West next year.  Now we will swap the trips.

Right now the plan it to head to Jacksonville to get the boat buttoned up for the winter and to get things off that we will need for the Land Cruise after Maryann's Dr. appointment on June 26th.

After taking care of the boat we will return to Rockport, load up the RV and head to Angel Fire and stay there until the end of July.  In August we will head to Oregon to visit family, fish for Salmon and go crabbing for Dungeness Crabs. From there we will head up to Bellevue, WA to visit Sean and family.  After that we plan to head north to Canada.
